Olen tässä koronan myötä ollut paljon enemmän etätöissä kuin normaalisti. Olen joskus tehnyt it-tukea ihan päätyökseni ja jo silloin törmäsin jatkuvasti siihen, kuinka wifi tökkii ihmisillä.
Käyn paljon esiintymässä. Ennen koronaa kävin livenä. Tekniikan pitää pelittää. Etätöiden lisääntyessä esiintymiset ovat siirtyneet etäwebinaareiksi tai Teams -kokouksiksi. Näissä haasteena ovat pätkivät yhteydet osallistujilla, mutta pahinta on, jos päätähdellä yhteys pätkii.
Meidän toimistolle tulee valokuituyhteys ja se on 100% luotettava. Kuitenkin koronan myötä rakensin itselleni etätyöpisteen vanhaan varastoon eikä täällä ollut kunnollista wifiä. Kuulin, että uusi Huawei WiFi AX3 Quad-core olisi tulossa markkinoille ja innolla päätin testata miten tämä toimii.
Tärkeää wifissä on luotettavuus, kantavuus ja nopeus. Jos pidän esitystä, esitys ei saa pätkiä. Huawei WiFi AX3:ssa on 4 peräti antennia, jotka huolehtivat, että yhteys toimii nopeasti ja luotettavasti.
Laitteen käyttöönotto sujui nopeasti ja helposti. Piuhat kiinni ja läppäri auki. Huawei WiFi AX3 opasti käyttöönoton selkeästi. Viiden minuutin sisällä paketin avaamisesta laite oli käyttöönotettu. Automaattinen päivitys haki viimeisimmän laitteistopäivityksen.
Huawei WiFi AX3 Quad-core:ssa on NFC tuki. Kun vien Android kännykkäni laitteen päälle, niin kännykkä liittyy wifi -verkkoon automaattisesti eikä tarvitse edes syöttää salasanoja. Tämän saa tietenkin pois päältä, jos haluaa lisätä tietoturvaa. Usein wifi purkit kuitenkin ovat sellaisessa paikassa, että sisään tulleille on hyvä antaa nettiyhteys myös.
Laitteen kantavuus on huomattavasti parempi kuin käytössäni ennen ollut vanha tukiasema. Antennit vaikuttavat tukevilta ja kunnollisilta ja niitä voi säätää eri asentoihin. Etätoimisto on vanhassa kivitalossa ja wifi-signaali kuuluu hyvin kiviseinienkin läpi.
Wi-Fi 6 - jopa 3000 Mbps nopeudella
Huawei WiFi AX3 Quad-core tukee uutta Wifi6 protokollaa jossa nopeudeksi luvataan jopa 3000 Mbps. Se riittää varmasti kaikkeen mihin etätöissä tai kotioloissa voi vain tarvita. Yritin kuormittaa verkkoa, mutten huomannut hidastumista muussa kuin siinä, jos menin todella kauas tukiasemasta.
Harva tietää, että Huaweilla on Suomessakin tutkimus- ja Helsingissä ja Tampereella tuotekehityskeskuksia. Tuotekehitykseen panostaminen on kannattanut. Huawei kertoo että Quad Core sisältää neljä toisistaan itsenäistä signaalin vahvistajaa, jotka mahdollistavat useiden Huawei-reitittimien yhteisverkoston tuoden nettiyhteyden jokaiseen kodin tai yrityksen nurkkaan. Dual Core -mallissa itsenäisiä signaalin vahvistajia on kaksi. Uudella teknologiallaan Huawei on kyennyt eliminoimaan jopa yli 80 prosenttia ruutupäivityksen hitauteen, yhteyden katkeamiseen tai viiveeseen liittyvistä ongelmista. Teknologia vähentää myös yhteensopivien kännyköiden akun kulutusta. Oma kännykkäni huomasi heti, että laite tukee Huawei AI -life sovellusta, joka helpottaa saumatonta käyttöä ja hallittavuutta.
Yhteenvetona voisi todeta, että Huawei WiFi AX3 Quad-core on luotettava erittäin nopea moderni wifi tukiasema, joka riittää hyvin toimistoon, etätoimistoon ja vaativalle käyttäjälle. Laitteen luotettavuus on osoittautunut testissä erittäin hyväksi. Nyt uskallan pitää webinaareja myös täältä etätyöpisteeltäni ja voin luottaa, että netti toimii.
