Miten Lofooteille pääsee?
Lofooteille pääsee lentämällä, laivalla esim Bodøstä Moskenesiin tai ajamalla siltoja pitkin koko Lofoottien saariryhmän läpi. Suosittu reitti on Suomen käsivarren ja Kilpisjärven kautta ja toinen suosittu reitti menee Ruotsin Kiirunan kautta.
Lofooteille pääsee 19 tunnissa autolla. Tiedän, että jotkut ovat senkin ajaneet yhteen putkeen, mutta tämä suoritus vaatii vähintään 2 kuskia, koska vaikka matka on täynnä upeita maisemia, on se myös pitkä ajettavaksi.
Paikan päällä on hyvä olla auto vuokrattuna, koska upeimpiin paikkoihin pääsee vain ajamalla autolla johonkin pikkutielle ja siitä sitten kävelemällä. Julkinen liikenne toimii, mutta vain päätien varressa. Liftaajia näkyi vain vähän, mutta autoja menee niin paljon, että liftaamalla pystyy varmasti myös hyvin liikkumaan.
Mitä Lofooteilla sitten voi tehdä?
Lofooteilla ollaan luonnossa. Siellä vaelletaan, telttaillaan, kalastellaan, käydään laivalla valassafarilla ja nautitaan maisemista.
Vaellusreittejä löytyy ut.no -sivustolta. Kannattaa katsoa etukäteen, koska netti ei kaikkien vuorien takana toimi.
Myös majoitus kannattaa varata etukäteen, koska Lofoottien majoituskapasiteetti on usein täynnä ja telttailua ja autiotupia lukuunottamatta majoitus kallista. Ut.no sivustolta löytyy myös autiotupien sijainnit. Kesä-aikaan kannattaa olla oma teltta mukana, koska autiotuvat saattavat olla aika täynnä.
